Ryan Sims

Design leader from the Midwest Coast

Hello.

Born and raised in the Midwest, I developed a fascination for design when I got my first computer and a copy of Photoshop as a high school graduation gift. For nearly two decades my appreciation for gradients and whitespace, layout and type has yielded products that are elegant yet approachable. Following years of design leadership at Rdio, Adobe, and Stripe, I am now the Duolingo VP of Design in Pittsburgh.

Plantbook

Purchasing, planting, propagating, and parenting plants is a passion and hobby of mine. Plantbook is where I keep track of my collection of plants and propagations, along with best care practices and helpful tips for propagating them.
